October 15 deadline – How Franchises Can Avoid the SPAM and Junk Folder

Major Franchises and international organisations such as Remax and PRD National now have their emails being delivered to the junk folder. So how does your Franchise avoid the SPAM folder?
Why has this happened all of a sudden? It has coincided with the Office 365 release this week (see release) as major email platforms ready themselves for the October 15 deadline when he US Government turns on strict Anti-SPOOF measures.
Franchises have a tougher task when it comes to implementing the Anti-SPOOF measures because most Franchisees perform their own email marketing tasks with no support from the Franchisor. That means when Franchises implement the Anti-SPOOF measures, Franchisees using MailChimp, Constant Contact etc will not get their email delivered. This will never meet ongoing marketing and sales needs especially based on the tighter subscriber compliance expectations by ESPs.
Importantly another outcome is is that email reputation will be badly affected for the entire Franchise organisation if Franchisees continue to use non-compliant systems.
That means important email may end up in junk or the domain is blacklisted which means no email will get through This is a serious issue that needs careful consideration.
At Zulu eDM our Franchise Campaign Management Platform delivers the best reputation possible and we reduce the local area marketing overhead for Franchisees as well as providing a platform and service for better brand management and better franchisee recruitment.
